Lush Mask Of Magnaminty Review: Perfect for Acne Prone Skin or Breakouts

Hi Girls,

Today I’m sharing with you a mask that has really become a staple item in my skincare routine. It’s the Lush Magnaminty Face Mask. I LOVE face masks and I’ve tried hundreds! This is a mask that I’ll buy again and again. There’s so many benefits to using this mask and best of all it’s so affordable. You’ll love this mask if you suffer from acne, breakouts or if you’re just after a really refreshing clean. Keep reading for more details.

Product Claims:

‘Easily smoothed over the skin anywhere you like, this mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate; marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you remove it.There’s also mineral rich kaolin to nourish, antibacterial honey, and peppermint oil to stimulate the blood cells just under the surface of your skin to leave it looking bright and refreshed

Our Self preserving formulas have been expertly rebalanced with natural preservatives to discourage bacteria growth, making them entirely self-preserving. In every other respect, the original and self preserving formulas are exactly the same!’

My Thoughts:

I first went into the Lush shop because I’d a huge breakout on my chin and wanted to try something that was tailor made to shifting spots. The special thing about Lush is that the sales assistants are always ready to help and full of information on each product. They recommended this mask  as a treatment to get rid of any bacteria and restore my skin. This sounded amazing and this product did not disappoint.

As soon as the tub is opened the smell of mint comes rushing out. It smells gorgeous and really refreshing. It’s a thick paste consistency and cool to touch.

Mask of Magnaminty Self PreservingIt says on the tub to apply liberally onto the skin so I apply  a thick layer to my face. Because the consistancy is so thick it can be a little messy to apply so I recommend doing this over a sink.

It says to leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes so I left it on for 10 just because my skin has been so bad and plus it felt super refreshing, soothing and really relaxing.

After the 10 minutes I wash it off the shower. The exfoliating particles were really gentle and I felt like it did a good job in removing any dead skin.

Afterwards my skin felt really nice and soft more radiant and fresh. The redness of the blemishes had gone. My skin felt refreshed and moisturised. Sometimes if I use a spot treatment or a mask my skin drys out and cracks. My skin didn’t feel dry after this mask at all. The other thing I notice with using other face masks is that I end up being really oily afterwards. With this mask I felt like I had applied moisturiser so this was the perfect balance.

Two days on from the mask and most of my blemishes have disappeared (except one!!!). My skin feels great and so much better than before! People in work have asked what make up I’m wearing today because my skin looks good but I’m not using anything new, it was just the mask.

I’d recommend this to anyone that suffers from breakouts or acne. I’ve combination skin and this mask worked perfectly for me. I’m definitely going to buy this again and again.
