How To Get Perfect Eyebrows

Hey Girls,

Eyebrows are in and everyone I know wants to have great eyebrows. I’ve had to put some serious effort in to get mine in shape and although they aren’t perfect I’m happy with them because they’ve FINALLY grown! It took me a year so I’m pretty proud! I thought I’d share with you some steps I’ve taken to get my desired shape and it doesn’t involve spending a lot of money.

Go to a Good and Well Known Salon:

I recommend going to a reputable salon that does either threading, HD brows or waxing. I’ve been to some places that have completely butchered my brows and it took be a long time to get them to grow back. Ask around your area for recommendations or look online to make sure you go somewhere that’s highly rated.

Usually, good salons will explain my current shape and show me where exactly they will take the hair off and also where I still need to grow. Don’t be afraid to ask if you are unsure or afraid of how much they are going to take off.

Let Your Brows Grow If You Need To:

Now I for one know that it’s seriously hard to let your eyebrows grow out! I let mine grow out for two months and it was so hard to do, all I wanted to do was pluck, pluck, pluck! I was so self conscious but I have to say, it was worth it in the end. I then went and got HD brows which involves, tint, thread, wax and pluck to get the perfect shape. Even after the two months I still had some growing to do and I still do but I’m getting there. I now leave them for 4-6 weeks and then get a tint and thread.

Filling Your Brows:

If you have a lot of places that need to be filled a wax product will help in conjunction with a powder. I recommend using Benefit’s Brows A Go Go or Browzings as these were my favourite. I’ve also heard some great reviews on Sleek’s Brow Kit which I’m looking forward to trying out.

If you just have a couple of places here and there that need to grow I recommend using a brow pencil and a brow gel to keep the hairs in place. I’ve been using the Rimmel’s Brow Pencil in conjunction with the Maybelline Brow Gel.

If you’re blessed with perfect brows then you will probably only need to use a brow gel, if anything.

The trick with any of the above is to fill in the areas in the direction your hair grows in a light feathering motion.
